MESA VIEW MINISTRIES

The Mesa View Baptist Church has many ministries to meet the needs of God's people and the community. Maybe there's one below that you would like to become a part of. Audio / Media

The Audio/Media Ministry is established to record all worship celebrations that takes place in the church, to include conferences, and revivals. The Brotherhood 

Monday at 6:00 PM


The Brotherhood Ministry (also known as "The Tribe of Levi") offers the preparation of every man that would be a worker of God. This ministry is comprised of consecrated men whose hearts have been prepared by God to work for God. This ministry offers each man the opportunity to prepare themselves in the doctrines of Jesus Christ and to continue in them that he might be "a worker that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Children's Worship

The Children's Worship Ministry is established to help children grow spiritually through effective teaching techniques and activities in a nurturing and caring environment. This ministry provides lessons geared towards the appropriate age groups. The lessons are complimented with music, arts and crafts, videos, skits, games, and other fun and exciting activities for knowledge retention and to stimulate continuous interest in the Word of God. Children's / Youth Choir

First & second Monday following the first Sunday of the month at 6:00 and 7:00 PM respectively

The Children's/Youth Choir provides a program where children will grow spiritually and physically by providing non-threatening activities that reach out to all children.  Choir rehearsal is held on the first and second Monday following the first Sunday of the month at 6:00 and 7:00 PM respectively.


Deacons

The Deacons are one of two officers of the church and are called upon to preserve the harmony of the church and to free the pastor to give full attention to prayer and the ministry of the Word of God. Their Biblical prerequisites and responsibilities can be found in Acts 6:1-7 and 1 Timothy 3:8-10, 12-13. Deacon's Wives

Deacon's Wives are servant helpers in the church. Their primary function is to serve as Godly examples of Christian womanhood in the church and be teachers of this example. They are also responsible for:
(1) Setting up the elements to be used during Holy Communion; and

Hospitality Committee

This ministry is responsible for food and refreshment coordination, setup, serving, and cleanup for overall church sponsored events. Intercessory Prayer

This ministry was established as a means of praying for the overall church; butalso for the needs of the people within the church and their situations. The Bible teaches us in James 4:16b, "The effectual fervant prayer of the righteous availeth much." This ministry meets each Saturday at 12:00 pm at the church office for prayer. Mass Choir

Thursdays at 7:00 PM, Wangenheim Music Room
(excluding the Thursday before the 3rd Sunday)

 

Come be a part of our adult choir. Let Us Sing Praises Unto The Lord!

The Mass Choir ministers through music each Sunday morning (except the 3rd Sunday) during worship services. This ministry helps "usher" the congregation into the presence of the Lord, preparing all hearts to receive from the Lord during the preached word. All Mesa View Disciples are encouraged to come and sing praises unto God; no musical background is required,only your desire to praise and worship the Lord. Adult Choir practice is every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (except third Thursday). Come, rejoice and sing praises unto the Lord. For further information, please contact Sis. Minister Wives

The mission of the Minister Wives of the Mesa View Baptist Church is to serve the Lord our God by providing spiritual support, fellowship, and work toward improving the quality of life through the edification of the church and the mandate set before us in the Great Commission of Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God. This will be accomplished as follows:
(1) To help one another in being a helpmate and not a hindrance to our husbands as they fulfill the calling of God on their lives;
(2) To win souls to Christ;
(3) To promote family worship and demonstrate Christian character and conduct;
(4) To organize and teach ways to maintain spiritual endurance, patience, forbearance and a heart of love for everyone;
(5) To provide assistance and plan how to support God's vision through the Pastor by supporting our husbands in their assigned ministries; and,
(6)To provide a support system and training for new minister wives as they partner in ministry with their husbands. For further information, please contact Sis. Teresa Perkins at tperkin1@san.rr.com.


Mission Fields

The purpose of this ministry is to research evangelistic and missionary organizations and present recommendations for allocation of monies for church tithing on a quarterly basis. Mesa View has committed to be a "tithing church" whereas 10 percent of what the Lord blesses us with is sent out to be a blessing to organizations who are standing for the cause of Christ. Praise Dance (Interpretations of Praise)

Established as a means of praising God through dance, this mnistry offers a "sacrifice of praise" unto the Lord. Opportunities to minister though dance are provided throughout the year at Mesa View and outside of Mesa View as well. There are dance teams for youth and adults. Practice takes place in the Wangenheim Auditorium on Thursdays from 6-7pm for youth and 7:15-8:15 for adults. Please contact Sis. Terrilynnette Minor at tnsminor@sbcglobal.netfor more information.


Scholarship Committee

The Mesa View Scholarship Ministry is established to promote continuing education for our graduating seniors in high school; recognize their academin achievements and accomplishments; and process applications for awarding scholarships to these students. Teen Ministry

Mondays at 6:00 PM

 

The purpose of the Teen Ministry is to mobilize an army of youth who intimately love Jesus and want to share Him with others. This will be accomplished by:
(1) Developing a close friendship and love relationship with the Lord;
(2) Institute a prayer time;
(3) Implement the "10 Most Wanted Prayer List;"
(4) Memorization of Bible verses;
(5) Understanding of key Biblical principles;
(6) Knowledge of the books of the Bible; and,
(7) Winning souls for Christ. Come as you are!

Trustee

The Trustees serve as legal representatives in all transactions related to the church. It is their responsibility to ensure all matters pertaining to the church, it's property, and all financial aspects are done in accordance with accepted accounting practices. Ushers - Junior

Our Junior Ushers serve the Lord and the people of Mesa View on the 3rd Sunday (our Youth Sunday) of each month. They are learning the fundamentals of Ushering and the importance of ministry within the church. For more information please contact Sis. Prima Pettus at primarose35@hotmail.com.


Ushers - Senior

The mission of the Senior Ushers is to welcome all of God's people into the Lord's sanctuary to fellowship and serve God as hosts and hostessess with a humble and joyful heart. Welcome Ministry

This ministry is the first example of love and Christian unity that the Discples and guests will encounter. It is established to:
(1) Meet and greet all who enter into the church building;
(2) Provide them with a weekly church bulletin; and,
(3) Answer any questions pertaining to the church and it's worship services.
